Message Over Time

Refund Policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

This policy applies to Message Over Time (MOT) prepaid storage purchases. Launch packages are one-time payments, with no subscription or automatic renewal. Paddle acts as the merchant of record and authorised reseller for purchases processed through its checkout.

1. Refund eligibility and timing

Paddle’s current refund policy governs Paddle transactions. Generally, purchases are not refundable unless applicable law gives you a refund or withdrawal right, or Paddle approves a discretionary refund. Mandatory consumer rights take priority.

Where a statutory withdrawal period applies, submit your request within that period. Paddle describes fourteen-day periods for some digital purchases in the UK, EU and other listed countries, with conditions and exceptions; other countries have different periods. Do not assume every customer has an unconditional fourteen-day refund right.

Contact Paddle promptly for the period and eligibility applicable to your purchase. Faulty, misdescribed or unfit services may give you additional rights. We will assist with purchase records and service issues without limiting those rights.

2. How to request a refund

Use the support link in your Paddle receipt, or visit paddle.net and select Request refund. You may also email support@messageovertime.com with your purchase email, transaction reference and the reason for your request. Never include a full card number or password.

Paddle handles the payment refund. If MOT supports a refund request, we will communicate that to Paddle rather than reimburse a Paddle transaction separately. Eligibility, approval and payment processing are confirmed through Paddle.

3. Payment method and processing

For approved refunds, Paddle normally refunds the original payment method where possible. Its policy states processing within fourteen days of approval, with separate rules for statutory withdrawals. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to show the funds.

4. Stopping a future release

A refund request does not itself stop a scheduled message release. Email support@messageovertime.com before the release date and explicitly request that release be stopped. Wait for confirmation; a request submitted too close to release may not be processed before the scheduled time.

Likewise, cancelling a release does not automatically grant a refund. Once a recipient has accessed a message, that access cannot be undone and copies outside MOT cannot be recalled.

5. Storage after a refund

Refunding a purchase ends the entitlement associated with that purchase. Support will confirm the resulting storage status, access and release instructions for the affected message. Keep a separate copy of your content. A refund is not a request for immediate deletion of all account or transaction records.

6. Launch availability and complaints

A checkout return page does not prove payment or activate a storage package. Services marked coming soon, including recorded will reading and verified attorney release, are not available for purchase until enabled.

If you believe you were charged without receiving the described service, contact MOT and Paddle with the transaction reference. Nothing in this policy removes mandatory consumer protections or your right to raise a complaint.
